Community Days Festival website

For a community block watch organization that hosts a three-day festival every spring, I designed and created a site that allows the organization to communicate with the community. The site features a custom image slider.

Website: Dandy Dog!

For a mobile concessionaire I designed, developed, and maintained a site that also contained a Google-based calendar of events. The site additional includes video and pictures of an annual hot dog eating contest. This site connects with Dandy Dog!’s Facebook and Twitter accounts for cross-posting.

Feng shui website

For a feng shui practitioner in San Diego, I designed and created a WordPress-based website to allow her to connect with her customers and show her work. In addition, I trained her how to use her blog.

State of Poverty 2012

State of Ohio 2012: The challenge was to create a report that would be visually interesting for a public audience while also providing legislators with county-level data they want.

For an educational publisher, I was asked to provide an infographic answer to the question “why teach academic vocabulary?”

Facilitators’ guides

I researched, wrote, and produced two Facilitators’ Guides for publications written and illustrated by incarcerated youth; these were designed for use in at-risk youth programs and classrooms.

Ohio Working Poor Families

I wrote and designed Ohio’s report for a national initiative supported by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation called the Working Poor Families Project using data collected by Community Research Partners.
