I was asked to write a placed article in Today’s Catholic Teacher about how to help students apply nonfiction reading strategies to reading online. This article appeared in both the print and online version of the magazine.
Created site design, built site, researched and developed all content, and provided email marketing bimonthly newsletter
Researched relevant academic research articles, edited the articles for a teacher audience, wrote chapter introductions, and found appropriate cartoons. Second edition: added more articles about the Common Core State Standards and new achievement tests. For both editions, served as the editor through the page production process.
Wrote and edited a series of podcasts on best practices in spelling instruction.

I researched and wrote the proposed national handwriting and keyboarding standards, completing grades K-8 in 2012 and prekindergarten in 2014.

For the Children’s Hunger Alliance, I researched and wrote a white paper demonstrating the social and economic positive effects of expanding the School Breakfast Program in Ohio schools.
